Celebrate Mother’s Day with a tactile, creative escape in the heart of Nashville. Join artist Crystal Shade for an intimate, 2.5-hour workshop where we move beyond the standard mug to craft the "Muse Tea Cup"—a delicate, pedestal-based vessel designed to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand.

The Experience

This isn’t just a pottery class; it’s a sensory ritual. We begin with a curated tea tasting, sampling floral local blends and light bites rom local businesses served in handmade Crystal Shade ceramic ware.

Under Crystal’s guidance, you will use the meditative pinch-pot technique to create a thin, organic cup walls, followed by the technical "score and slip" method to add an elegant pedestal foot and a dainty ribbon handle.

What’s Included:

• Expert Instruction: Step-by-step guidance on hand-building, sculptural attachments, and surface refinement.

• The Set: each person will create one (1) pedestal tea cup and one (1) organic, hand-slumped saucer.

• The Finish: Choice of several signature, high-fire glazes 

• The Ritual: Complimentary artisanal tea service and local pastries from Germantown’s finest bakers.

• Firing & Glazing: We handle the drying, bisque firing, and glaze application. Your pieces will be ready for pick-up 3–4 weeks after the event.

• Class Size: Limited to 12 participants to ensure personalized instruction.

• Skill Level: All levels welcome! No prior pottery experience required.

Studio Policy 

• No Refunds: Due to limited seating, all sales are final.

• Cancellations: Notify us 10 days in advance to receive studio credit for a future workshop.

• Attire: Wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dusty! Clay washes out, but we recommend short nails for the best pinching experience.
