π Christmas in July Pottery Session π
Apparently some people start their Christmas shopping in July.
The rest of us wander through Target on December 23rd looking confused and muttering, "Good enough."
This year, let's do better.
Or at least let's make pottery.
Join us for our Christmas in July Pottery Session at Crystal Shade Pottery, where we'll spend the month pretending it's Christmas while Tennessee does its best impression of the inside of an air fryer.
During this special session, we'll create handmade ornaments, holiday dΓ©cor, Christmas mugs, giftable pottery, and all kinds of festive pieces you'll actually be excited to unpack every year.
No experience is required.
Seriously.
If you can roll out a piece of dough, you can make pottery.
And if your project comes out looking a little wonky? Congratulations. We call that "handmade."
How It Works
π Attend any 6 classes during July
π Choose from Wednesday evening and Friday morning classes
π Mix and match dates to fit your schedule
π Limited to just 6 students for lots of individual help
We'll teach you hand-building techniques, texture, surface design, glazing, and all the tricks needed to transform a lump of clay into something that makes people say:
"Wait⦠YOU made that?"
We provide the clay, tools, glazes, kiln firings, instruction, and occasional emotional support when your ornament develops a personality of its own.
We'll also have Christmas music playing, Christmas cookies on hand, and enough holiday cheer to make you briefly forget it's 97 degrees outside.
We considered serving hot chocolate.
Then we remembered it's July in Tennessee and decided we'd rather not pass out from heat exhaustion.
Class Fee: $299
By the end of the month you'll have beautiful handmade Christmas pieces, a head start on your gift giving, and at least one story that begins with:
"Well, that wasn't what I meant to make, but here we are."
Come make pottery.
Eat cookies.
Listen to Christmas music.
Pretend it's December.
And avoid the December 23rd panic shopping experience altogether.
Because handmade gifts are better than fruitcake, and clay is cheaper than therapy.
